Scott here. Today we left Clewiston and traveled east to Stuart. We are finally on the East Coast! Technically we have about 10 miles, as the boat floats, to get to the Atlantic, but close enough! I am not sure I believed we could do it! But, through prayer and hard work we have made it, AND we still like and love each other!
The attached map shows our route and the mileage between each leg through the middle of Florida.
Plan v ACTUAL
Start at: 8:30 am ACTUAL 8:10 am
End at: 3:00 pm ACTUAL 4:07 pm
Total Time: 7:30 hours ACTUAL 8:03 pm hours
Distance: 56.6 miles ACTUAL 57.1 miles
I was off today! We left 20 minutes early and arrived 1 hour later than expected, but our total time is only 33 minutes longer than expected. Hmmmmm. We had to wait for the Clewiston lock and the St. Lucie Lock today, and we had to wait for a railroad bridge to ope. I am sure that is where we lost our time.
Today we are anchored in the most crowded anchorage we have ever been in. Thankfully we found a spot we are comfortable in. Anchor set pretty easily and we have not budged. Wind is light for the rest of the month, not that we will be here that long.
Have a great night!
