These aren’t raindrops. It’s 100’s of tiny fish!

I’m so behind on sharing, but I will have time to catch up some today. However, I just had to share this video with you. Here’s the back story

I was sitting on the couch doing my reading for the day. I could hear birds constantly chirping, and it sounded like they were right outside. I had to pause to see what they were so excited about. As I stood on that little walkway that goes from the cockpit to the bow, I watched the the little white birds flying back and forth. They’re smaller than seagulls, mostly white with some black. I have no idea what they are. I wish I could call mom and ask her to look them up in her bird book.

Anyhow, as I’m watching the birds and trying to figure out what they’re so focused on, I see raindrops on the water. I hold my hand out to see if I can feel rain, but I don’t. That’s when I notice the raindrops aren’t everywhere. They show up here and there all around the boat. Sometimes just a few subtle drops and sometimes a lot of big drops, but it’s definitely not raining.

I realize these drops are not coming from above, they’re bubbles being made by something below. I look down where the water meets our boat, and I see hundreds, possibly thousands, of tiny little fish swimming around! Oh what a delight! Try as I might, the waves in the water make it impossible to get them on video or photo. Next time, I’ll remember to grab the GoPro and put it in the water Sorry

All that to say, watch the bottom part of the screen in the video, and you’ll see the “raindrops.” I never did witness the white birds catch a fish, and that pelican didn’t care about the tiny fish at all
