April 4, 2023 was a travel day

(Scott here)

Time to leave Cincinnati, Ohio! Well maybe not! As we are sitting in Cracker Barrel restaurant parking lot in Crawfordsville, IN I realized I messed up my days and we left our campground a day early!! WHAT?!? Actually, I am shocked this is the first time it happened to me. Oh well, hopefully we can stay in our new marina parking lot April 5 & 6.

Time spent with family here was wonderful. We are happy we will get to see them soon again as we will be back in WI soon for a little while.

If you have never been to the Creation Museum in Petersburg, KY and the Ark Encounter in Williamstown, KY I highly suggest it. Easy one day drive from southern WI area and well worth it. You will need at least a day at each place. I am positive Rita will share more about these places later.

We left Cincinnati at 10:00 am on the nose. The winds that came through Saturday knocked out power for most of the day so we ran the generator 1.4 hours for the 6 days. We left with about 75 gallons of fresh water as we are planning on boondocking until April 10 when we check into Kohler-Andre State Park for 9 days. So we will conserve our water and black/grey tank space.

Anyway, our travel day was only just over 4 hours and we drove just under 3 hours for 175 miles. One more day in Eastern Tim Zone!

  1. And the Marina is allowing us to stay in the parking lot. Excited to share photos of our new boat home for a few months.
