Scott here. Today is a travel day as we officially leave Great Exuma Island. It isn’t “Goodbye” but “See ya later!” Prime Cay is a new addition as we took out Lee Stocking Island. There were some “ruins”, an old research facility we wanted to explore, but it has been purchased and is being revamped…

Travel day Jan. 16, 24 (Monument Beach North Anchorage to Black Cay) Travel day # 51

Scott here. This one is a shot in the dark, like most of our plans from now until we get to Bimini – unless we cross back from Freeport. We are making this up, sort of, as we go! Today’s plan was yesterday’s plan, but after finishing our errands we decided to stay put. The…

Travel Day Jan. 14, 24 (Elizabeth Harbor to Hooper’s Bay (Travel day #50)
Scott here. Yes, we are still around and still in the Bahamas! Eventually, Rita will put out a post or two with some photos of the area. It is sooooooo beautiful. I just don’t get tired of looking at the harbor. There are a number of trails that lead to the Sound side of the…

Saturday, Nov. 18, 23

The weather looks so much better Sunday and Monday than it does on Saturday, so, we are thinking of just staying in this anchorage for two days. We have good protection from north and northeast winds. Although it is a little rolly it will do. This is our overnight recording of our anchor holding very…

Travel Day #32 stats

Scott here. We finally left Clearwater. I understand how people visit there and never leave. It is a beautiful area! But, Bahamas, Bahamas, Bahamas!! The weather was perfect for leaving and I am very happy for that. We had about 2′ clearance from the bow of the boat to the pier in front of us.…

Travel Day #30 stats

Scott here. Today we left our Farmdale anchorage, which we loved and went to Apalachicola and are safely tucked away in another anchorage. For some reason I was nervous about this travel day. Skinny waterways that had reports of being shallow in places. We worked hard at staying in the channel and never really saw…
