Sewing Projects

I purchased a Sailrite sewing machine in 2021. I simply did not have the time or energy to learn how to sew. I also ran into some frustrations to really get into sewing.

After retirement, I figured out some of my issues. Who knew there was a left and right side of a needed!?!?

Below are the projects I have been working on to get my skills up a notch or two as I learn the sewing basics.

Wallet

My first project. I made a couple of these but I can no longer find photos of them. Click here for the Sailrite video.

Wrench roll-up

Created a wrench roll-up. Once I find the template I used I will add it.

Duffel Bag

This was a kit I bought from Sailrite. I started it in 2021, lost time when I got frustrated with needle/thread issues. Came back to it in 2024 and it up! Here is the link.

Forage Drop Pouch

I found this idea on the internet. Used a number of different YouTube videos and put this together. I plan on doing this but better in the future.

Small box bag/Dopp Utility Bag

I have about 6 of these right now. I think I have them down and look forward to making more. I used a number of different YouTube videos to create them, but this one was my favorite.

Small roll-up tool bag

Created from a pattern purchased through Sailrite. I like this, did a decent job and plan on making a few more in different colors.

Roll-Up Knee Pad

I used a Sailrite video to create this.

Toiletry Kit

I found a good YouTube video on making a toiletry kit, enough information I could make a pattern. This is a project in process. Photo above is my version #2.
