Scot here. Quick lay over and it is time to go. If we stay 3 days we have to stay 4 as the weather looks bad on the 11th. This marina is too expensive for that and we need to get some miles under the belt. It is becoming pretty hard to find anchorages with…

On November 5, 2023, Scott and his team will be travelling from Grand Mariner Marina in Mobile, AL to The Warf Marina in Orange Beach, AL, en route to the East Coast. Despite encountering potential issues with shallow waters in Mobile Bay, they opt for a longer, safer route. They express disappointment about not having…

I do believe the balance of Terrifying to Terrific is a bit skewed in the wrong direction so far on this Loop Experience for us aboard MY Happiness. If you read Scott’s recap of the day, you know what I’m talking about. For those of you who may not have read his post, as well…

On November 2, 2023, Rita and her group set off early on a foggy morning to navigate the Tombigbee River and its numerous curves or ‘oxbows’. Scott here. Today we leave Bobby’s Fish Camp and head to about 39 miles north of Mobile Bay to Tensaw anchorage. We will be up around 5:30 am to take Jazzy for a walk and get everything ready to go around 6:45 am. Our last lock is only a mile away or so then it…

Scott here. November 1, 2023 we went from Kingfisher Bay Marina in Demopolis, AL to Coffeeville, AL at Bobby’s Fish Camp. Not a very nice place and I would not recommend anyone stay here. It is small. One dock where you can fit 4 or 5 boats. Before we arrived a large yacht, at least…
