Travel day #76 stats

Scott here. Let’s talk about April 17, 2024. My longest day traveling on the boat by myself. It was a perfect day for it. Just enough wind to keep me cool and I only passed 10-12 boat either way. A few no wake zones but more slowing down for construction people, even though I missed one. Sorry!!

The day was pretty anticlimactic. I was on the phone with Rita as I was pulling into the marina until our headsets were able to connect. By the way, they seemed to connect about 1/4 mile away which was just awesome.

We are docked right next to the pull-out well, so I just came in bow first and we got tied up pretty easily. Of course, our 50′ power line was 3′ short so we hooked up to the 30 amp power that we could reach. It worked, no big deal!

Nope, overnight the power shut off as it was getting a reverse polarity reading. This morning, we untied spun the boat and backed in. Now we can reach the 50-amp power and we have no issues! Again, it went pretty smoothly.

I’ll let Rita talk about her travel day from Morehead to Belhaven in a later post.

How did the plan go for the day?

I just couldn’t keep the RPM’s high enough to get to an average of 10 mph! Sometimes I can be a wuss!!

I am getting excited to spend a little time back in WI again. Let’s see what the next 6-12 months will bring us.

I will share the totals of the 1st part of our Great Loop trip soon now that I have all the numbers.

After that our posts may be some catch up posts about areas we traveled that we want to share. Who knows, maybe our non-travel life will be exciting enough to keep sharing stories. LOL
