Scot here. Quick lay over and it is time to go. If we stay 3 days we have to stay 4 as the weather looks bad on the 11th. This marina is too expensive for that and we need to get some miles under the belt.
It is becoming pretty hard to find anchorages with easy shore access between here and Morehead, NC. Georgetown has a couple great free day docks and two decent anchorages, but derelict and full-time live-aboards apparently take up most of the room. But, near the ICW there is a decent anchorage with good holding and about 5 minute dinghy ride to town. We are planning on being there for two nights. Thursday isn’t looking like a good travel day even on the inside.
Here is the days plan.
