Guess who? Yep, me getting caught up to today again. Today we left Fenwick Island and made it to Charleston, SC. It was our 71st travel day in the boat.
The “feature image” is our overnight anchoring (green line.) We didn’t move much at all last night. Most of the black line is our track from getting anchored then leaving the anchorage.
I was able to get Jazzy to the island, which is a SC State Park with ease as there really was no wind. We had a couple areas that showed a lot of shoaling and were somewhat shallow but we hit those near high tide so we had no issues. The area we were most worried about was Elliott Cut.
We timed the cut pretty good, being close to slack tide and getting a 3-mph current in our direction. It really wasn’t an issue, just felt like a washing machine in one area. The short video below the photo is going through the first part of the cut. It really wasn’t that bad in my opinion, but we also had pretty good timing.

After the cut we only had a couple of miles to go to the marina. We are meeting a friend here for dinner either tonight or tomorrow night, so it is just easier to get a marina.
Here is the plan and ACTUAL of our travel day.
