Travel Day April 5, 24 (Daufuskie Landing to Hilton Head) Travel Day #69

Scott here again! This will get us caught up to today. We had a planned very short day. We are staying in a marina and wanted to get to the marina earlier than later to get our money’s worth. Sounds cheap, but I like to think is smart. And, I’m frugal not cheap!

The weather in the morning was super nice. No wind to speak of, although it is cold. Too cold for me. I would rather turn around and go south where the warm weather is, but we have made commitments, so north it is.

After a good walk with Jazzy on land we made a good breakfast and eventually left. It was a very short and easy run to Hilton Head. We did have problems finding a marina that had space for us, but we did find a decent marina. Of course, the wind picked up so getting tied up and leaving the fuel dock was challenging. Not impossible, but a challenge. Thankfully they put us on a T-dock and the wind was pushing us into to the dock so docking was very easy.

Rita will share our adventures here down the road. It was great seeing Rita’s cousin and his wife and spending time with them. Here was our plan and actual stats.
