Scott here. This should be a travel day as we leave Sebastian and head to Titusville for another 1 day stop. Did I tell you that our next “goal” is Jacksonville? We have family there and will hopefully be able to visit with them a little. I have planned to get there Friday, March 29 and stay for 3 nights. We have built in 4 days for unplanned stops. We used one as we didn’t leave on the 20th, so we have 3 left.
The weather doesn’t look great, but the wind should be behind us so we should be OK. Plus, it seem the wind is topping out at 23 mph with gusts up to 34 mph out of the SSE. We don’t have to wait for any bridges again and there isn’t a lot of shoaling noted on the charts.
We have one anchorage planned at about 20 miles into the day just in case we feel we need to stop. The short stop anchorage and the planned anchorage both of good protection from the east and south tucked in behind bridges. Our current anchorage doesn’t have good protection from the south this evening, but the wind should only hit 15 mph tonight.
I will say it again. I really do love being on anchor. The slap of the waves against the hull just lulls a body to sleep.
