Scott here! Today we moved from Stuart, FL to Sebastian, FL. Sebastian is just a layover, if it wasn’t for Jazzy I probably wouldn’t leave the boat! I said goodby to new friends last night, as they said there was no way they would be awake at 8:00 am!!

I was up at 6:30 this morning to walk Jazzy and get a shower in. Not sure why I shower as I get full of sweat getting ready to leave. I am sure I didn’t stink for 20 minutes today!

We pulled away from the dock at 8:15 am and pulled into the fuel dock at 8:26 am. We filled up the fuel tanks and emptied the black tank. Water tank was filled up last night. Plus, our 20 gallons of emergency water. Probably won’t use it, but better safe the sorry!

We left the fuel dock at 8:48 am and headed out to the channel. The first few miles was back tracking to get to the ICW, then we turned north and were in new to us water.

The trip was anticlimactic except for one event. I must have hit the starboard engine key and turned it off as I was waiting for bridge to close (we didn’t need it open.) Then I couldn’t get the engine to start. Well, you need to put the engine in neutral for it to start. Only took my 90 seconds to figure that out with Rita’s help.

As we arrived in Sebastian, we decided to get close to the land on the east side of the ICW. It was about 1 mile through water that was 6-8 feet deep. That is plenty deep for us, but I still don’t like being in less than 8′ of water.

Almost finally, let’s see how we did on this tank of fuel. We last filled up in Nassau on Feb. 14. We put in 139.977 gallons and went 286.8 miles and ran the engines for a total of 88.8 hours. This gave us 1.57 gallons per hour and 2.04 gallons per mile. We have done better, but I occasionally push the RPM’s a little higher because I just want to get to where we are going.

Now finally, let’s see how we did!
