Travel day Jan. 26, 24 (Black Point to Staniel Cay) Travel day #53a

Scott here. Time to move! We are planning on leaving here and heading north a few miles to Staniel Cay.

We have seen all there is to see at Black Point. There are literally less than 12 businesses here! The wind is going to move around Saturday night and come more from the south or west and there is no protection here for that wind. Friday night we are looking at anchoring around the Bay of Pigs. That will give us wind protection from the east winds and some north protection.

Probably anchorage in the gray circle or just a little farther up near the blue anchor symbol Friday.

Sunday night the wind will switch and come from the south and west. Then we may switch to one of these two areas for protection from the wind and waves. All depends on the number of boats there. These are not very big anchorages.

Plan A & B locations for Sunday – Tuesday cold front.

Plan C is to go farther North to Compass Cay (about 6 miles) and hold up in one of those anchorages south of the marina. Would stay in the marina. It is $5 a foot, but the $150 a night for power is stupid expensive! Water is $0.50 a gallon. So, no marina for us! We have some friends going to Compass Cay anchorage so we will know if there is room if need be.

Plan C location.

What is the plan?
