Bahamas Here We Come!

This is a couple days old. Sorry, I forgot to post it.

Before we set out for the Bahamas, I thought I’d share just a few pics from our time in West Palm Beach.

We were so blessed to see some family in West Palm albeit a short visit. Time with them lifts me up. They are a source of joy and a wonderful example of living out great faith.

So, did Scott tell you what the Uber guy said when he picked us up from Walmart with our stash of completely necessary supplies for our trip? He said usually when people have that much stuff they’re going to a mega yacht. And then it’s the crew he usually sees not the owners. He also was worried that this lady with two full carts of stuff would take forever loading & unloading. 😆

He was a chatty guy which is probably good for an Uber driver. We had a fabulous lesson on how Uber started, their genius manipulation into pretty much taking over taxi-type rides. As a matter of fact, before we called Uber, I tried to find a taxi to see which price was better. All I found were options for airport transportation and group/event transportation. Nothing for any company on price per mile to get me from A to B. So, his comments were very interesting to me.

Also, we went to the most epic farmers market! It was huge! Ironically, not a lot of produce or meat or other products one would expect on a farm. However, there was so much food and drinks and clothes and crafts and art and jewelry & natural health oils, tinctures, blends, lotions, teas, (you get it) and more. I think it was three large city blocks wide and probably 5-6 blocks deep. For my WI people – it was the summer weekend Madison farmers market x 10 at least. We just kept walking and walking and, of course, making a purchase here and there. 🙂

Anyhow, now we’re heading southeast to Bimini on our way to George Town, Exumas. This is the destination and reunion with family that I’ve been most looking forward to since we left. ❤️

This is also going to be a learning experience. A whole new way of getting around and finding food and supplies. Also learning where we can get water and fuel, where we can do laundry. Where can we empty our black tank? Will we have to be very conservative in our use of water? Probably. Where will we have WiFi or cell service? How long until I use up
my 5 Gigs of data? I feel like a lot of my first world normalcy will become a luxury even more than it has thus far. Learn and grow and become a better person all while appreciating the journey, the beauty and all the blessings God brings us each day.

Stay safe everyone! Appreciate every little thing. Make it a great day! Be a blessing and be blessed 🙏🏼❤️
