Travel day Dec 3, 23 (West Palm Beach to Fort Lauderdale) Travel day #41

Scott here. West Palm Beach has been a wonderful. We could spend more time here as well. But, we need to move. Hopefully we can take off before 7:30 am. Don’t know how the bridges are and we have a lot of them we need to have opened. I would like to get to our marina as early as possible to have time to get a pump out.

Vessels needing to wait for the Southern Boulevard Bridge to open in zone 2 are permitted to wait in this zone only for the draw bridge to raise for safe passage.

TM 41.9 (mm 1,064.6): Shoaling, A shoal exists in this area, have observed larger vessels run aground here at low tide while waiting for the bridge to open.

TM 43 (mm 1,065.8): Obstruction. Between G19 and G21 there is a submerged rock that TowBoat US knows about as they often are at that location. Do not go close to the greens. Stay mid-channel.

TM 43.4 (mm 1,066.1): Shoaling. Shoaling is starting to spill in from the east between G25 and the 17th Street Bridge in a couple of places. Stay closer to the center of the channel and the red side especially if you are a deeper draft vessel.
