Travel Day #39 stats

Scott here! November 29, 2023 was a decent travel day! We finally left Stuart and are in Jupiter, FL! We were in Stuart for a week and that is the longest we have been someplace since we left on this little adventure! Of course, it wasn’t by our choice, but we were still there. First Marine of Stuart did right for us. The needed parts were finally delivered today, and the tech came back and fixed what needed to be fixed in about 1/2 hour. They will email the bill to us to pay when we receive it. After he left, we took a final walk through old downtown Stuart and found a little place for a quick lunch and went back to toss our lines.

That wasn’t very easy! In reality it was more work for Rita than for me. We actually had six lines on the boat and released 4 of them and moved one fender to the swim platform to try and protect. The wind was 13-18 mph and pushing us against the dock. Not easy to leave! But, with Rita communicating well and pushing hard against the dock we made it without any damage to the boat or the dock! I did here her say that was a “little terrifying!” Afterwords, Rita told me we had a large crowd watching us from shore! Thankfully there will be no reason for us to end up on YouTube’s Miami Boat Ramps channel! LOL!!

We didn’t go all the way to our final destination but stopped just short of it at Hobe sound anchorage. This was 3.6 miles short of our initially planned anchorage. But, there was only one boat here and there are some great beaches to walk Jazzy. So, we decided to stop before we got to our planned anchorage. If you are curious where we are click this link: Nathaniel P. Reed Hobe Sound National Wildlife Refuge.
