Scott here. Today didn’t go as planned! That should not surprise anyone! 😂

Day started out good. Rita woke up early did her thing and a couple loads laundry. Of course, one load of towels needed another round in the dryer. We took off about 45 minutes later than expected.

That is actually pretty close to plan! So, what is the issue you ask? That is all we did! No part 2 today.

UPS didn’t put the package in the truck in Fort Lauderdale thus our needed pooper parts didn’t make it here. Of course, the UPS tracking number had it in Stuart. First Marine went to the UPS Depot and found this out around 2 pm.

The wind picked up from the NW and we were getting beaten up pretty good on the Stuart Free City Dock. I didn’t think we could even get away from the dock. This dock is very clear about no overnight docking. So I called the police department and asked for permission to stay here for the night. I explained what was going on and had an officer call me back. We got permission to spend the night.

In 6 days, we have traveled two days and two miles! Hopefully we will get all fixed up and on our tomorrow. Jazzy’s vet appointment isn’t until Dec 4 in Palm Beach. Hopefully we will have all our vet permits by then and we can look for our weather window to cross the Gulf Stream.
