Scott here. Today we are heading to an anchorage. The plan is to go to Santa Rosa Sound and anchor near Crab Island. THAT is what I was going to say.
But as I was putting together Monday’s route thinking my initial day of 7 1/2 hours was just too much, I was checking the charts and reviews for other anchorages. I found a restaurant, Juana’s Pagoda’s, that has a few docks and let’s Loopers stay on the dock for free. I called today and talked with the manager or owner and he has a slip waiting for us tomorrow. All he cares is that we patronize the restaurant and tip well. If you know Rita, she tips well!! Plus, we can dinghy across the GIWW (Gulf Intercoastal Water Way) and tie up at a boat ramp and take a short walk to Winn Dixie and provision for another week! I feel much better about Monday’s travel day now!
