Travel Day Nov. 1, 23 (Demopolis, AL to Bobby’s Fish Camp) Day # 23

Scott here. This post is going out tonight instead of 6:00 am tomorrow, because we will be throwing our lines at 5:30 am! Yes, that is way too early!! It will be dark, but we think this is best. We will have a number of buddy boats traveling with us. One that has made this trip 4 times now.

The moon will be near full. The marina is lit and the one and only lock is about 1 1/2 miles away and will be lit up pretty good. The lock master wants to lock through pleasure craft at 6, 8, 10 am. We would rather leave an area at night that we are somewhat familiar with than end up at an area we know nothing about at night.

Bobby’s Fish Camp is not much. A place with, I think a dock, or it might just be a couple of barges. But, it is the last place for fuel before Mobile Bay and we will want to top off our fuel tanks.

Nov 1 will be a long and painful day. Waking up so early and traveling so long, and it will be cold.
