Travel day #19 stats

Scott here. Oct. 27, 2023 we said goodby Luka, MS! Thanks for all you gave us. Today’s travels were actually pretty easy. It is nice to say that when we have three locks to deal with! But first we threw our lines at 7:27 am. I wanted to throw them at 7:30, so that was pretty good. Our first stop was the fuel dock, not for fuel, we did that when we arrived, but to pump-out our black tank. The pump-outs here are free and they leave it on, so we were able to pump-out and take off by 7:45 am. About 25 minutes earlier than planned.

One lock we had to float about 20 minutes for the doors to open. The other two locks we went right in. The day started with two of us, then at the first lock we had 4 of us, then at the second lock we had 6 of us. It is funny how we hopscotch each other and eventually will see each other sometime down the river.

Plan v ACTUAL
Start: 8:15 am ACTUAL 7:45 am
End: 5:15 pm ACTUAL 3:25 PM
Total Time: 9:15 hours (6:15 travel time plus 3 locks) ACTUAL 7:56 hours
Avg speed: 7.2 mph
Max speed: 11 mph
