Rita again
Happy Sunday! It’s going to be a gorgeous day here in Hammond, IN. Before I get caught up in enjoying the day, I wanted to just do a little recap on Kenosha.
We had a great time in Kenosha! The weekend was beautiful. We got to spend time with two of our favorite boating friends. We had dinner out with them at a place called Boat House Pub and Eatery. Good food, great company. We always enjoy hanging out with these two – so many laughs! We also were blessed to meet their new puppy, Brutus. However, we were saddened to hear of Bagheera’s passing. He looked like a bear to me, and I will miss his enthusiastic loving hellos 
Good times, good people, good memories. 
We also hit up a couple farmers markets and rode a street car/trolley/thing that travels on tracks with wires above. There’s a pic below; check it out and tell me what the heck you call it. I’d say trolley for sure, but there was a trolley of a different sort also; hence, my struggle.

Kenosha has so many beautiful areas to walk, and that one path I mentioned previously has so much wonderful art. I’ve included more pics with the title and artist’s name. They also do a fabulous job with the flowers! I didn’t get enough pics of all the different areas and arrangements, and I am thankful my mom can see them from heaven so she’s not missing out. I apologize to all you flower-loving people reading this that I have only a couple pics with the flowers in them.
The marina is very nice. I think I mentioned the pool area previously and how nice that is if that would have been open. I would have been sooooooo happy. Still the boater’s lounge area on the second floor of the main building is huge with a cozy seating area, a little reading nook and plenty of room to play ping pong and the table version of shuffleboard which I like as much, maybe more, than the outdoor version with the poles.

People have interesting ways to display their boat name, and this was my favorite. Boat names are also very interesting, and I may list my favorites in another post down the road as I collect more and more names

It was a beautiful day to sail! We could count a couple dozen that we could see. 
Franks Diner – If you’re in Kenosha, eat here! It’s an experience, and the food is soooooooo good! You know how when food is so good you say ‘yum’ or ‘mmm mmmm’ after every bite? It’s that good. It also was on an episode of Diners Dives and Drive-ins. 
So many funny signs. 
I love that it says to NOT read the following paragraph, but you HAVE to or you’ll always wonder. It’s hilarious 😂
