Scott here for stats for October 11, 2023 travel day.
If all travel days were like this it would be wonderful, but it would take forever to complete the Loop! A nice relaxing day is what we needed! It was nice to walk around Alton, have lunch, and have daylight left when we got back to the boat.

I should say that I start my chart recording when I start the engines and turn it off when I shut down the engines, so the times may look a little weird. It takes some time to unhook power and toss the lines and get going. It also takes some time to fuel up, pump out, or just get to our slip assignment and get tied up again.
We waited about 20 minutes for the fuel dock to open up before going to our slip. Problem there was they were running out of fuel and asked if we could wait until tomorrow so they could fuel up some boats that are not staying here. Pain the butt, but of course we will wait. So tomorrow, we will need to go to the fuel dock to fill up and pump out as we want to leave early the next morning.
We celebrated one couple yesterday that “crossed their wake”. That means they completed the Great Loop! Super exciting!! Another couple crossed their wake today in Alton. Very happy for them.
No route plan tomorrow morning as we are taking a day off before another hard week down the Mississippi, up the Ohio, and down the Cumberland.
